Thinking about creating a Kickstarter campaign for your food venture?

Have you started building your crowdfunding project, but need feedback and advice from an expert?

 

Join Brooklyn FoodWorks and Kickstarter’s Food Projects Lead Terry Romero for an interactive, two-hour workshop on how to utilize Kickstarter to launch a successful food or beverage fundraising campaign.

Rebecca Dengrove from Brewla Bars will also join us to share how her food business was able to not just raise capital but also connect with a new audience via her successful Kickstarter campaign.


The workshop will be an an engaging and hands-on session to help you craft a masterful crowdfunding campaign.

 

 Attendees will learn:

- Tips and best practices for crafting a high quality crowdfunding campaign

- Opportunities for rallying your community around your project

- How to plan your campaign from start to finish: what to do before, during, and after your campaign is complete

Terry Romero

Kickstarter's Food Project's Lead

 

 Kickstarter is the world's largest funding platform for creative projects. A home for film, music, art, theater, games, comics, design, photography, and more.

Terry Hope Romero is Kickstarter’s Outreach Lead for the Food and Crafts categories and has helped hundreds of food business projects come to life. She’s also the author of several bestselling cookbooks including Veganomicon, Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World, Vegan Eats World, Salad Samurai, and many more. Terry has presented cooking demonstrations and culinary talks at food festivals and conferences throughout North America, Europe, and Australia and holds a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from Cornell University. Rebecca Dengrove

and Pepsi Max, and authored two publications. Rebecca holds a Masters in Food Science from Rutgers and a B.S. in Nutrition Science from UC Davis. To prepare for Brewla, Rebecca trained with Dr. Robert Roberts at Penn State on the topic of frozen dessert manufacturing and Charles Bamforth at UC Davis on the subject of brewing. Rebecca is currently the CEO of Brewla, Inc.
